Happy Spaces
I have been fortunate to be asked to design for nationally televised landscape makeover shows for HGTV and DIY Network. After three episodes of Turf War, I then contributed as lead designer on numerous Yard Crashers productions, not to mention a Bath Crashers shoot (why a landscape designer in a bathroom? To build a vertical wall garden in an outdoor shower, of course!)
I gain a tremendous amount of experience working with different themes and materials, not to mention the chance to get to know the amazing contractors and craftspeople who make these hectic shows come together. I bring all of this knowledge to my “real life” clients who benefit from the wide variety of designs I’ve been challenged to create for these projects.
In addition to television work, I also oversee projects with my charitable group, Happy Spaces. This effort focuses on identifying well deserving families and organizations who we feel can benefit from a renovated outdoor space.
Check out what we’ve been up to on Facebook! Below are some of our favorite photos from the Make-A-Wish and Happy Spaces Project job sites. We are so blessed to have the opportunity to contribute to these incredible causes.
